It is understood that since the first successful Meizhou Marathon was held in 2018, it has been striving to create a good competitive atmosphere for runners. At present, Meizhou Marathon has been successfully held for five times. In 2018, Meizhou Marathon was rated as "Bronze Medal Event of Chinese Athletic Association", and in 2019, it was rated as "Silver Medal event of Chinese Athletic Association" and "Red cultural Feature Event". In 2022, it will be rated as "Guangdong Sports Industry Demonstration Project".

YEGO HILLARY KIPKOGEI, runner A0001 from Kenya, crossed the finish line first and won the men's all-horse Meizhou Marathon with a time of 2 hours, 21 minutes and 40 seconds, breaking the record of 2 hours, 22 minutes and 52 seconds of Meizhou Marathon 2020. GEBER ALEMAZ TILAHUN, A0006 from Ethiopia, won the women's title with a time of 2 hours 49 minutes 51 seconds.
